SEI visited OSU's on campus energy center. The energy center provides electricity and steam to all of campus, which is used to heat buildings, run equipment, and power labs. The system uses jet engines to generate electricity, and the heat from the engines is collected to boil water for the steam system. This energy center was the first LEED Platinum energy center in the US.
